Tanker Trailer Remanufacturing Process

Through tank body restoration, pressure system renewal, full anti-corrosion treatment and strict safety testing, we completely eliminate leakage, corrosion and system aging problems of old tankers.

Tanker trailers include liquid fuel tankers, chemical liquid tankers, and dry bulk powder tankers for cement, flour, and granular materials. Unlike ordinary cargo trailers, tankers work under continuous internal pressure, material friction, and long-distance corrosion. Their common failures include tank wall thinning, internal rust, leakage, pressure system aging, and chassis fatigue.

REMAN ROAD professional tanker trailer remanufacturing process covers both liquid and powder tank types, focusing on tightness restoration, pressure safety, anti-corrosion upgrade and full chassis renewal, making old tankers reach near-new safety and transportation standards.

Full Disassembly & Complete Condition Evaluation

We carry out thorough disassembly and comprehensive technical evaluation for old liquid and powder tanker trailers. The whole vehicle is completely disassembled, covering the integral tank body, manhole covers, discharge valves, pressure relief devices, pneumatic conveying systems, delivery pipelines, chassis frame, axles, suspension assembly and complete electrical systems.

During the evaluation, we strictly screen all components: aging sealing parts, worn pipelines, failed valve assemblies and structurally damaged accessories are completely scrapped to eliminate potential safety hazards. Only intact, qualified tank bodies and main frame steel structures are retained, which will undergo subsequent deep cleaning, flaw detection and professional remanufacturing restoration.

Tank Internal Cleaning & Full Sandblasting

For used tankers, we perform strict internal cleaning to remove residual liquid, powder sediment and stubborn dirt. The entire tank exterior and chassis structure are fully sandblasted to eliminate old paint, rust and oxidation. This process exposes hidden wall thinning, tiny cracks and corrosion points, ensuring all potential leakage risks are completely eliminated before repair.

Tank Body Inspection, Repair & Reinforcement

We conduct wall thickness testing and non-destructive flaw detection on the whole tank body. Thinned, corroded or damaged areas are repaired by welding and plate reinforcement. Deformed tank sections are corrected and strengthened.

For powder bulk tankers, we specially reinforce the tank bottom, fluidized bed area and discharge ports that bear frequent material impact and friction. For liquid tankers, all partition baffles and fixing structures are inspected and reinforced to avoid liquid sloshing damage.

Pipeline, Valve & Pressure System Renewal

All aging pipelines, sealing gaskets, discharge valves, switch assemblies and pressure gauges are fully replaced with brand-new standard parts. Powder tankers get renewed pneumatic systems, air compressors and fluidized bed components to ensure smooth material discharging without blockage. Liquid tankers are fitted with new anti-leakage valves, breathing valves and safety pressure relief devices to meet safe liquid transportation requirements.

Full Chassis System Overhaul & Replacement

The entire chassis load-bearing system is completely upgraded. We install brand-new heavy-duty axles, reinforced suspension, balance arms and wear-resistant bushings. The renewed chassis structure provides stable and balanced load distribution, effectively solving chassis sinking and vibration problems caused by long-term full-load tanker transportation.

Brake & Safety Electrical System Upgrade

The dual-circuit air brake system and ABS anti-lock system are fully renewed with new brake chambers, valve bodies and brake pads. Strict air tightness and pressure tests are performed to ensure stable braking under full-load and high-speed conditions. All lighting, wiring and reflective safety marks are updated to comply with international dangerous goods and bulk cargo transportation regulations.

Internal & External Anti-Corrosion Treatmentt

Tanker anti-corrosion is the core of remanufacturing. The tank interior is professionally polished and treated with special anti-corrosion coating adapted to liquid or powder cargo. The outer tank and chassis are sprayed with epoxy anti-rust primer and thick wear-resistant topcoat. Double-layer internal and external protection greatly improves corrosion resistance and extends the tanker’s service life.

Standard Assembly & Functional Debugging

All tank accessories, pipeline systems, pneumatic components and chassis parts are reassembled strictly according to factory standards. We repeatedly debug discharging speed, pressure balance, valve flexibility and system tightness to ensure smooth operation and zero leakage during loading and unloading.

Pressure Test, Tightness Detection & Final Inspection

Every REMAN ROAD remanufactured tanker undergoes strict water pressure testing, air tightness testing and full-load simulation tests. Powder tankers are tested for discharging efficiency and airtight performance; liquid tankers are verified for no leakage and stable pressure. Only tankers that pass all safety and functional tests can be delivered.
