Trailer Remanufacturing Process

REMAN ROAD universal standardized remanufacturing process applies to all types of semi-trailers, including tipper, flatbed, container, cargo, lowbed, tanker and other trailers.

Professional semi-trailer remanufacturing is fundamentally different from simple second-hand surface renovation and repainting. It is a systematic industrial refurbishment project covering structural repair, component renewal, performance debugging and quality testing.
Our universal standardized remanufacturing process applies to all types of semi-trailers, including tipper, flatbed, container, stake, lowbed, bulk cargo, tanker and other trailers.
All REMAN ROAD remanufactured trailers can reach near-new operating performance, with higher safety and durability than ordinary second-hand trailers, serving as high-cost-effective heavy haulage equipment for global logistics and engineering fleets.

Full Disassembly & Component Classification Screening

We implement complete disassembly of the entire semi-trailer, thoroughly dismantling all core parts including main frame, cargo carrier structure, axles, suspension system, braking system, hydraulic and electrical components.

All fatigued, severely worn, deformed and aging parts are strictly eliminated and scrapped. Only intact and qualified steel structural components are retained for subsequent processing, fundamentally avoiding hidden safety hazards from residual worn parts.

Full Sandblasting & Deep Surface Purification

The entire trailer frame and structural steel parts undergo professional high-pressure sandblasting treatment to completely remove old paint layers, rust, oxide scale, dust and surface attachments.

This process eliminates surface shielding problems, fully exposes invisible micro cracks, metal fatigue and structural deformation, providing accurate detection and welding foundations for subsequent structural repair and reinforcement.

Structural Testing, Straightening & Reinforcement

We conduct comprehensive non-destructive flaw detection on the main I-beam, cross beams and overall vehicle structure to check for cracks, bending and metal fatigue. All deformed frame structures are precisely corrected by professional straightening equipment.

For stress concentration areas and weakened structural parts, we adopt thickened steel plates for welding reinforcement to restore and upgrade the overall bearing rigidity and structural stability of the trailer, adapting to long-term heavy-load transportation.

Structural Repair & Wear-Part Replacement

Targeted repair and partial replacement are carried out according to different semi-trailer types and wear conditions. Severely worn structural plates, guardrails and connecting parts are replaced with high-strength steel materials.

Local damaged areas are welded and repaired, and overall structural flatness and firmness are calibrated to ensure the whole vehicle meets standard load-bearing specifications, solving common problems such as structural looseness and deformation of old trailers.

Core Chassis & Functional System Full Renewal

All key chassis bearing and functional components are fully replaced with brand-new standard heavy-duty accessories, including heavy-duty axles, suspension assemblies, balance arms, wear-resistant bushings, traction pins and support legs.

For trailers equipped with hydraulic systems, the hydraulic power unit and oil cylinders are fully renewed. All updated parts comply with industrial heavy-duty standards to ensure stable load-bearing, flexible operation and no functional failure.

Brake & Electrical System Standard Overhaul

The whole trailer dual-circuit air brake system is comprehensively upgraded, with brand-new brake chambers, control valve bodies, ABS anti-lock systems and brake pads installed.

Strict air tightness debugging and pressure resistance tests are conducted to eliminate air leakage and braking lag risks. All trailer circuits, tail lights, marker lights and electrical accessories are replaced, sorted and calibrated to fully meet international road transportation safety standards.

Overall Anti-Corrosion & Finishing Painting

After fine polishing and secondary rust removal of the whole vehicle, standardized double-layer anti-corrosion painting is implemented. The first layer is high-adhesion epoxy anti-rust primer for deep anti-rust and anti-oxidation protection; the surface layer is thickened wear-resistant industrial topcoat.

The overall painting process effectively resists corrosion from rain, mud, salt fog and harsh outdoor environments, greatly extending the service life of remanufactured semi-trailers.

Standard Assembly & Full Safety Configuration Installation

In accordance with unified factory assembly specifications, all mechanical structures, chassis parts, functional systems and electrical components are reassembled, adjusted and fixed.

Complete standard safety accessories are installed, including side protective guardrails, rear anti-collision devices, support jacks, anti-slip devices and reflective warning marks, ensuring the whole vehicle complies with global traffic and transportation regulations.

Full-Trailer Functional Debugging & Performance Testing

We conduct comprehensive functional debugging and performance tests for the assembled semi-trailer, including load-bearing simulation test, chassis running stability test, brake sensitivity test and system linkage test.

For special functional trailers, targeted professional tests are added according to their usage attributes. All operating parameters are strictly calibrated to ensure the whole vehicle achieves near-new working performance.

Strict Final Inspection & Delivery Acceptance

Before delivery, professional quality inspectors conduct full-item systematic inspection covering structural welding quality, chassis assembly accuracy, functional system stability, painting quality and overall vehicle appearance. Only semi-trailers that pass all inspection standards can be delivered, ensuring every REMAN ROAD remanufactured trailer has stable quality, reliable performance and zero potential safety hazards.
